To start a return, contact BedBathandBeyond within 30 days after you receive the item. Include your order number, the item you would like to return, and the reason for your request.
Return conditions
For a change-of-mind return, the item must be unused, in its original condition, and returned with its original packaging and included accessories. These condition requirements do not prevent you from reporting an item that arrived damaged or was sent incorrectly.
Please contact us before sending anything back. Once your return is approved, we will provide the return address and instructions. Do not send a return to the sender's address on the parcel unless we confirm that it is the correct return address.
Return shipping and fees
- Change of mind or other personal reasons: you are responsible for the return shipping cost.
- An item that arrived damaged or was sent incorrectly: BedBathandBeyond covers the return shipping cost. Contact us first so we can arrange the return instructions.
We do not charge a restocking fee.
Refunding original delivery charges
For an approved return of the entire order, we refund the full original delivery charge you actually paid.
For an approved partial return, we refund the portion of the original delivery charge attributable to the returned items. We calculate this by multiplying the original delivery charge paid by the returned items' value after discounts, divided by the value of all items in the original order after discounts. Item values used for this calculation exclude tax and shipping.
Delivery charges already refunded will not be refunded again, and total delivery-charge refunds for an order will not exceed the original delivery charge you actually paid. If your order qualified for free shipping, we do not add or deduct a delivery charge because you make a return or no longer meet a free-shipping threshold.
Refunding the original delivery charge does not change who pays to ship the returned item back: the return-shipping rules above still apply.
Damaged or incorrect items
If your item arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, contact us with your order number and a description of the issue. We may ask for photos to help understand what happened. You do not need to meet the unused or original-packaging requirements for a change-of-mind return to report such a problem.
Refund processing
After we receive and inspect an approved return, we will process the refund within 10 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
Your bank or payment provider may need additional time to post the refund to your account. If you have not received an update after 10 business days from our receipt and inspection of your return, or need help checking a refund, contact us with your order number.
Shipping delays and unshipped orders
If we cannot ship within the stated shipment time, we will notify you and provide the option to agree to the delay or cancel the unshipped order, as required by applicable law. If the unshipped order is cancelled, we will promptly issue the full refund required by applicable law, including any applicable shipping charges. The ordinary return-inspection timeline does not apply to these cancellations.
Your statutory rights
This policy does not limit rights you have under applicable law. If the law requires an earlier refund or provides additional return, cancellation, or refund rights, those requirements apply.
